Get your adrenaline goin!! Your day begins with a shoreside safety briefing and paddling practice led by your guide. Above each rapid, your guide will brief you on the run. The Ottawa is like a whitewater staircase with calm pools below the rapids allowing time to rest and bask in the splendor of this beautiful river. Rafting with WT is a complete experience with time for bodysurfing (swimming rapids), cliff jumping and swimming off your floating island or a sandy beach. Each trip is about four to six hours in length with a hearty BBQ half way down the river or at the end of the trip depending on your start time. Groups (20-36) will enjoy the option of a dinner cruise back to Rafters at the end of their trip.

Watch as we transform from ordinary tourists to uncomfortably suited tourists. Does anyone really enjoy bringing an extra suitcase of materials for this salute to the formality of days gone by? Maybe it’s worth it, because we do look good! Royal Caribbean does put on a good formal night presentation. However, it’s too dark in the dining room to photograph without the flash, and it’s too bright with the flash. This is clearly one of the less impressive segments of our trip, but there is such great subject matter!

A short video of the Friday Cruise hosted by Pickups Limited, Orange County. The cruise departed Ayres Hotel in Yorba Linda early Friday before the Saturday F100 Western Nationals show. We visited TCI, Total Cost Involved Engineering, in Ontario California. TCI makes suspension upgrades, components and full frames for many hot rod cars and trucks. From TCI we had lunch at Vince’s Spaghetti, also in Ontario. Vince’s has been serving great Italian food for ever. Our final stop was SoCal Speed Shop in Pomona. SoCal first opened for business in 1946. They had some pretty cool projects on hand. After the run we finished with dinner at El Torito next to the Ayres Hotel. It was a fun filled, jam packed day, to say the least.
